Documentation is key for Trustworthy AI

AI is a technology used in many businesses to support decision-making. Introduction of  AI in regulated environments is challenging, due to the requirements for fairness, accountability and transparency (FAT). One governance mechanism to ensure FAT requirements is documentation. However, standards from software development are not suitable to collect the required evidence that is needed for Trustworthy AI. In a recent interview study by Königstorfer F. and Thalmann S. (2021) companies in the banking and IT industry as well as consultants were interviewed about documentation of AI. This study shows that documentation of AI is not a purely technical task. It requires the presentation of information on how the AI is understandably integrated into the business process. This interview study provides the basis for future activities in Trust your AI. Here you can find the full article: https://www.emerald.com/insight/content/doi/10.1108/DPRG-03-2021-0047/full/html

Ethik & Recht

Das Institute of Interactive Systems and Data Science der TU Graz deckt den Bereich “Ethics by Design” ab.
